Format: Commander

Commander: Sarulf, Realm Eater

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a +1/+1 counters build helmed by Sarulf, Realm Eater, a commander who doubles as a scalable, repeatable board wipe for small permanents. The deck leans into wolf tribal and counter synergies, using pieces like Branching Evolution, Doubling Season, and Kami of Whispered Hopes to exponentially grow its threats. The primary win condition is combat damage from oversized creatures-often via Vorinclex, Monstrous Raider or Ashaya, Soul of the Wild-or a giant Exsanguinate fueled by Gaea's Cradle and similar mana doublers. Sarulf himself serves as a reset button, exiling low-MV permanents to keep the board under control while the counters pile up. The deck is mid-range value, lacking fast combos but able to grind out games through resilient threats and flexible removal.
