Commander: Kess, Dissident Mage

Bracket: 5

Deck overview

Kess, Dissident Mage pilots a lethal Grixis combo and storm shell focused on executing compact win conditions backed by dense stack interaction. The primary plan is resolving Thassa's Oracle alongside Demonic Consultation to exile your library for an immediate win. Secondary paths utilize Underworld Breach with Brain Freeze or rituals to mill the entire deck and generate storm for Tendrils of Agony, Grapeshot, or a recursive Oracle finish. An early Ad Nauseam draws a decisive mass of fast mana and tutors. Kess provides immense midgame inevitability by recasting spent cantrips, rituals, interaction, or disrupted combo pieces directly from the graveyard.
