Deck overview

This Izzet deck is an artifact-centric Voltron control strategy commanded by Tony Stark // The Invincible Iron Man. In the opening turns, Tony Stark filters through the top of the library to find powerful Equipment while developing mana rocks. Upon reaching six mana on Turn 5, Tony transforms into The Invincible Iron Man, a 5/5 flying, haste creature that cheats an artifact directly onto the battlefield at the start of combat, automatically attaching Equipment. By dropping massive artifacts like Argentum Armor, Ultima Weapon, and Genji Glove, the deck presents immediate lethal commander damage alongside permanent removal. A dense suite of countermagic protects the commander during its sorcery-speed transformation and combat steps, while stax elements like Back to Basics and Winter Orb slow down opposing mana bases. The deck systematically eliminates opponents through evasive combat over three response cycles.
