Deck overview

This Abzan deck utilizes the partner pairing of Yoshimaru, Ever Faithful and Reyhan, Last of the Abzan to execute an aggressive +1/+1 counters strategy focused on legendary permanents. By playing Yoshimaru on turn 1 and chaining low-cost legendary spells, the deck generates fast, tall threats that demand immediate answers. Reyhan, Last of the Abzan and The Ozolith provide critical counter retention, ensuring that invested power is never lost when creatures die. Midgame payoffs like Sovereign Okinec Ahau, Kodama of the West Tree, and Abzan Falconer translate accumulated counters into rapid combat eliminations. Backed by free protective spells such as Flawless Maneuver and Flare of Fortitude, along with asymmetric resets like Urza's Ruinous Blast, the deck maintains relentless offensive momentum while insulating its board against conventional removal.
