Sheoldred by waldort

Format: Commander

Commander: Sheoldred, the Apocalypse

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Monoblack Sheoldred is a draw-punishment control-combo deck. The primary plan is to get Sheoldred, the Apocalypse into play early, then pair her with forced-draw effects (Teferi's Puzzle Box, Memory Jar, Dark Deal) to drain opponents, while charging Bloodchief Ascension. The deck's fastest win is the Bloodchief Ascension + Mindcrank loop: once Bloodchief has three quest counters, any opponent life loss mills them out through infinite damage. Alternative engines are Bolas's Citadel with Sensei's Divining Top and Aetherflux Reservoir for a life-gain storm kill, plus value drainers like Psychosis Crawler and Gray Merchant. A robust tutor package and heavy draw suite make the deck consistent; a suite of stax pieces and removal protects the game plan.
