Deck overview

This Atraxa, Praetors' Voice deck executes an aggressive yet resilient poison and proliferate strategy. The primary game plan focuses on infecting all three opponents during the opening turns using low-cost creatures like Blighted Agent and Venerated Rotpriest, or uncounterable universal poison spells such as Ichor Rats and Prologue to Phyresis. Once poison counters are seeded, the deck transitions into a midrange control posture. It deploys Atraxa, Praetors' Voice alongside counter multipliers like Tekuthal, Inquiry Dominus and Vorinclex, Monstrous Raider, steadily compounding poison counters each turn cycle without needing further combat connections. A dense package of premier defensive spells, including Teferi's Protection, Heroic Intervention, and Flawless Maneuver, ensures the board withstands hostile sweepers. Simultaneously, efficient countermagic and targeted removal disrupt opposing combo attempts. Opponents are pressured on a permanent, non-interactive axis that bypasses conventional life totals and culminates in a table-wide elimination by Turn 7.
