Deck overview

This deck is a high-powered Grixis combo-control list built around Kefka, Court Mage // Kefka, Ruler of Ruin that leverages competitive Commander architecture. While Kefka offers midgame card flow, symmetrical discard, and eventual burn scaling, the deck's primary objective is assembling and executing the format-defining Thassa's Oracle combo with Demonic Consultation or Tainted Pact. Backed by format-ceiling mana acceleration such as Mana Vault, Chrome Mox, and Dark Ritual, the deck ramps rapidly on early turns while anchoring its development with persistent engines including Rhystic Study, Mystic Remora, and The One Ring. Highly efficient stax and punishment creatures like Opposition Agent, Dauthi Voidwalker, and Orcish Bowmasters delay opposing plans, while an elite suite of free countermagic protects the primary win condition. If the primary plan is disrupted, resilient backup lines through Underworld Breach and Brain Freeze ensure rapid recovery and inevitable closure.
