Deck overview

This deck is a combo-control build commanded by Mairsil, the Pretender. The strategy centers on stocking the graveyard with powerful activated abilities and caging them with Mairsil to assemble modular, game-winning combinations. Key graveyard enablers like Buried Alive and Entomb tutor high-impact targets directly into the yard. Once Mairsil enters the battlefield, it cages cards like Aetherling for instant-speed self-protection and Asmodeus the Archfiend to draw massive bursts of cards without drawbacks. The primary win condition uses Quicksilver Elemental to bypass Mairsil's once-per-turn activation limit, generating infinite mana alongside Gilded Lotus and Horseshoe Crab. From there, the deck draws its library, wipes opposing boards with Minion of Leshrac or Nevinyrral's Disk, sets life totals to one using Tree of Perdition, and closes the game on the spot.
