Format: Commander

Commander: Karona, False God

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This five-color deck helmed by Karona, False God is a goad-and-forced-combat chaos engine. The primary plan is to hand opponents' creatures to each other through a dense suite of goad effects - Disrupt Decorum, the Impetus auras, Marisi, Breaker of the Coil, Karazikar, the Eye Tyrant, and Taunt from the Rampart - then profit from the carnage with attack payoffs like Edric, Spymaster of Trest, Ohran Frostfang, Jolene, the Plunder Queen, and Aurelia, the Law Above. Karona herself is a hot potato that gets passed around each upkeep, her attack trigger pumping a chosen creature type for whoever currently holds her. The deck's most deterministic win is the Godo, Bandit Warlord + Helm of the Host infinite-combat loop, with combat value and Prisoner's Dilemma as backup. It is a slow, political deck that wins through inevitability and table chaos rather than speed.
