Format: Commander

Commander: Marchesa, the Black Rose

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

Marchesa, the Black Rose is the engine rather than the finisher: her dethrone and end-step recursion let artifact creatures with +1/+1 counters survive sacrifice and removal. The primary plan is to stock counters on modular creatures, run them through sacrifice outlets for draws and growth, then close in one evasive combat swing. A secondary path uses Jhoira, Weatherlight Captain, Basim Ibn Ishaq, and Danny Pink as a historic/counter draw engine, with Imotekh the Stormlord as an artifact-token backup army. The Ozolith is the closest 'hidden commander' because it preserves counters when Marchesa is gone. There is no double-faced commander; the deck is built around Marchesa's single face.
