Deck overview

This mono-red deck revolves around Clive, Ifrit's Dominant, leveraging high red devotion to generate explosive bursts of card draw upon entering the battlefield. The strategy combines proactive red devotion permanents—such as Birgi, God of Storytelling, Defiler of Instinct, and Solphim, Mayhem Dominus—with lethal discard payoffs like Brallin, Skyshark Rider, Glint-Horn Buccaneer, and Magmakin Artillerist. Once assembled around Turn 5, casting Clive discards the current hand and refills it with five to eight fresh cards, immediately triggering massive burn. From this fueled position, the deck transitions into a lethal storm turn using Underworld Breach, clone spells like Twinflame and Molten Duplication, and wheels such as Wheel of Fortune and Path of the Pyromancer to repeatedly trigger discard damage across the entire table. Damage doublers like Twinflame Tyrant and Gratuitous Violence ensure that opponents take lethal damage in a single explosive turn.
