Deck overview

This Gruul deck is an Ape and Monkey tribal midrange build led by Kibo, Uktabi Prince. The core strategy turns artifact destruction into massive offensive pressure. Kibo gives each player Banana tokens, which accelerate your mana and tempt opponents to sacrifice them for mana and life. Every time an opposing artifact or Banana enters the graveyard, Kibo distributes +1/+1 counters across your entire primate board. The deck accelerates in the early turns using efficient mana dorks and ramp enchantments, establishes Kibo on Turn 3, and begins distributing Bananas on Turn 4. Powerful artifact hate like Gorilla Shaman, Meltdown, and Vandalblast systematically punishes opponent boards while triggering explosive counter growth. Massive trampling beaters like Kogla, the Titan Ape, Silverback Elder, and Flopsie, Bumi's Buddy apply lethal combat pressure starting on Turn 6, eliminating the table by Turn 8. Defensive spells like Heroic Intervention and card draw from Viridian Revel keep the engine resilient.
