Commander: Witherbloom, the Balancer

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

Witherbloom, the Balancer helms a Golgari token-swarm deck built around life-gain/drain synergies and compact two-card combos. The commander's affinity for creatures makes itself and your instants/sorceries cheap to cast, rewarding the wide board you naturally develop. The deck wins primarily through infinite loops-Witherbloom Apprentice + Chain of Smog, or Bloodthirsty Conqueror + Marauding Blight-Priest-draining the entire table in one turn. Secondary plans include a massive token army paired with Epic Struggle or an overrun with Triumph of the Hordes. Dense ramp (mana dorks, land-fetch spells) and premium tutors (Demonic Tutor, Vampiric Tutor, Birthing Pod) ensure the combo pieces are found reliably, while recursion via Moseo, Vein's New Dean and Shigeki, Jukai Visionary provides resilience.
