Deck overview

This deck is a focused Boros Equipment Voltron deck commanded by Bruenor Battlehammer. Its primary strategy revolves around deploying cost-efficient equipment searchers and aggressive carriers, casting Bruenor on Turn 4, and bypassing massive equip costs such as Colossus Hammer's {8} activation for {0}. Once equipped, Bruenor's static power buff scales incoming damage to 17 or higher, threatening immediate lethal commander damage on Turn 5. Redundant cost reducers like Puresteel Paladin and Forge Anew provide strong operational independence, while protective pieces like Not of This World, Swiftfoot Boots, and Boros Charm shield the primary carrier from removal. The deck eliminates opponents sequentially through combat damage by Turn 7, supported by targeted removal from Swords to Plowshares and Argentum Armor.
