Deck overview

This Orzhov deck is built around Killian, Decisive Mentor, leveraging Aura and enchantment synergies to combine aggressive Voltron combat with pillowfort control. Killian provides an immediate card-advantage engine and board disruption by drawing cards whenever enchanted creatures attack while tapping and goading opposing threats whenever an enchantment enters. The deck accelerates in the early turns with efficient mana rocks and cost reducers before establishing Killian and suiting him up with protective and scaling Auras like Sheltered by Ghosts, All That Glitters, and Ethereal Armor. Defensive enchantments such as Ghostly Prison, Sphere of Safety, and Authority of the Consuls heavily tax incoming attacks, directing opponent aggression elsewhere through goad triggers. While the lack of tutors means the deck relies on steady enchantress draws to assemble pieces, its dense array of protective spells like Flawless Maneuver and Greater Auramancy ensures high resilience against conventional interaction as it closes the game across sequential combat steps.
