palamecia budget by antiasama

Format: Commander

Commander: The Emperor of Palamecia // The Lord Master of Hell

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This Izzet spells-matter deck is helmed by The Emperor of Palamecia, a mana dork that taps for colored mana toward noncreature spells, grows with +1/+1 counters as you cast 4+ mana spells, and transforms into The Lord Master of Hell - a 3/3 whose Starfall trigger burns each opponent for the number of noncreature, nonland cards in your graveyard. The core loop is to churn through instants and sorceries with looting and draw spells (Faithless Looting, Careful Consideration, Fact or Fiction) to fill the graveyard, then deploy graveyard-count payoffs like Spellheart Chimera, Kinetic Augur, Melek, Reforged Researcher, Seize the Storm, and Rise from the Tides. Copy engines - Thousand-Year Storm, Pyromancer's Goggles, Ether, Summon: G.F. Cerberus - multiply the value of every spell, while Tellah, Great Sage and Fiendish Duo provide alternate burn finishes. The primary win is the transformed commander's Starfall burn, backed by big copied spells and a swarm of graveyard-scaled creatures.
