Deck overview

This Izzet deck leverages Ashling, Rekindled // Ashling, Rimebound as a reliable ramp and card-filtering engine from the command zone. Ashling enters on Turn 2 to rummage away redundant cards and transforms on Turn 3 to produce two additional mana dedicated to spells costing four or more mana. This mana jump accelerates the deployment of heavy mana rocks like Thran Dynamo and Sisay's Ring, setting up explosive plays on Turns 4 and 5. The deck converts this massive mana surplus into devastating high-mana sorceries, extra-turn spells such as Time Warp and Temporal Manipulation, and board-dominating threats like Ovika, Enigma Goliath and One with the Multiverse. Free protective spells like Deflecting Swat and Fierce Guardianship shield key setup turns, while copy spells like Mnemonic Deluge and damage multipliers like Fiery Emancipation ensure that big-mana plays decisively finish the table.
