Deck overview

This Grixis spellslinger deck leverages Fire Lord Azula to double the value of instant-speed spells during combat. Azula generates two red mana upon attacking and copies any spell cast while she is attacking. The deck supports this game plan with a dense suite of 2-mana ramp pieces, cost reducers, and instant cantrips, alongside flash enablers like Leyline of Anticipation and Valley Floodcaller. Win conditions rely on burn engines such as Guttersnipe, storm finishes via Grapeshot, and explosive mana generation from Storm-Kiln Artist. While the deck generates high velocity once assembled, its reliance on combat creates inherent exposure to removal and blockers. Protective equipment like Brotherhood Regalia and targeted redirects help keep Azula safe as she leads the charge.
