Deck overview

This deck is a dedicated upkeep-trigger synergy deck commanded by Obeka, Splitter of Seconds. The primary strategy focuses on deploying Obeka alongside unblockable equipment and auras, then attacking to generate multiple additional upkeep steps during the postcombat main phase. These extra upkeeps supercharge a wide array of enchantments, creatures, and artifacts that trigger during the upkeep step, such as Twilight Prophet, Court of Embereth, Dragonmaster Outcast, and Darksteel Reactor. By multiplying each upkeep trigger by two to four times per combat connection, the deck generates exponential card advantage, token armies, and direct life drain. While the deck possesses explosive compounding power once Obeka attacks unimpeded, it relies heavily on its commander to accelerate its otherwise slow standalone payoffs. Defensively, the list utilizes shroud and hexproof equipment to protect Obeka from targeted removal, backed by high-impact sorcery-speed sweepers to reset opposing boards.
