Deck overview

This deck is a mono-black Zombie tribal and reanimator deck commanded by Liliana the Repentant. The strategy centers on rapidly filling the graveyard through self-mill creatures and commander triggers, then converting that graveyard into substantial card advantage and board presence. Big-mana lands like Cabal Coffers and Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx support high-impact plays, including massive Agadeem's Awakening casts, Rise of the Dark Realms, or devastating Gray Merchant of Asphodel life drains. The deck leverages an array of Zombie lords such as Death Baron, Undead Warchief, and Gisa, the Hellraiser to turn cheap tokens into lethal combat threats. While the deck boasts rapid recovery and consistent card draw from engines like Undead Augur and Cryptbreaker, it relies on normal turn curves and remains susceptible to dedicated graveyard hate and artifact-heavy opposing strategies.
