Kefka, Court Mage by HoleyCrusader

Format: Commander

Commander: Kefka, Court Mage // Kefka, Ruler of Ruin

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This deck is a Grixis Midrange-Control strategy centered on Kefka, Court Mage, utilizing a "Discard-to-Draw" engine to fuel a spellslinger-wizard hybrid shell. The primary game plan is to leverage Kefka s ETB and attack triggers to cycle through the library while punishing opponents with discard payoffs like Megrim and Entropic Battlecruiser. The deck generates a swarm of 0/1 Wizard tokens via cards like Kuja, Genome Sorcerer and Transpose, which act as a "ping" engine whenever noncreature spells are cast. Victory is typically achieved through massive life-drain effects like Exsanguinate, incremental burn from Wizard tokens, or by transforming Kefka or Ultimecia, Time Sorceress into late-game threats. The deck excels at resource attrition, using the graveyard as a second hand through Emet-Selch, Unsundered to maintain momentum in the mid-to-late game.
