Deck overview

This deck is an Esper Spellslinger Control deck commanded by Y'shtola, Night's Blessed. It converts noncreature spells into table-wide life drain and card advantage. The strategy controls the board with cheap, flexible interaction while establishing cost-reduction permanents like Baral, Chief of Compliance and Haughty Djinn. Once Y'shtola or a magecraft engine is online, casting spells with mana value 3 or greater continuously drains all opponents while refilling your hand via end-step triggers or damage-trigger auras like Curiosity. The deck finishes games either through a massive Torment of Hailfire or Exsanguinate, steady spellslinger burn backed by Professor Onyx, or the compact infinite combo of Bloodchief Ascension and Mindcrank.
