Marchesa modular v1 by Jmdt784

Format: Commander

Commander: Marchesa, the Black Rose

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This Grixis deck uses cheap modular artifact creatures and free sacrifice outlets to turn every death into value. You build +1/+1 counters with Steel Overseer, Iron Spider, Unspeakable Symbol and Thran Vigil, move counters with modular triggers, and use Marchesa, the Black Rose to return creatures that die with counters at the next end step. Primary wins come from growing Kappa Cannoneer and doubling damage with Uncivil Unrest, or pinging the table with All Will Be One and Marionette Apprentice/Master. A compact secondary win loops Murderous Redcap with persist, a counter source and Viscera Seer/Hammerhead. Marchesa acts as repeatable protection and recursion, not a combo piece; Arcbound Ravager and Hammerhead function as hidden engines.
