Deck overview

This Sultai deck is helmed by Xavier Sal, Infested Captain and focuses on Fungus tribal synergies, spore counters, proliferation, and Saproling aristocrat strategies. The deck curves out early with spore-accumulating creatures like Thallid and Utopia Mycon before deploying Xavier Sal to double down on board development via sorcery-speed populate and proliferate activations. As the game transitions into the midgame, token multipliers such as Doubling Season, Primal Vigor, and Innkeeper's Talent rapidly scale the board, while engines like Mycoloth and Sprout Swarm flood the battlefield with 1/1 Saprolings. Victory is achieved either by overwhelming opponents through wide combat damage or by sacrificing token swarms into drain engines like Mirkwood Bats, Slimefoot, the Stowaway, and Bastion of Remembrance. The deck also contains a game-ending two-card interaction between Life and Limb and Sporemound. While engine synergy and recovery are strong, the deck runs minimal interaction and protection.
