Deck overview

This deck is a high-synergy aggro-control strategy built around Avatar Aang. The early turns focus on ramping into all five colors and deploying versatile elemental benders. Once Avatar Aang enters the battlefield, every bending action replaces itself by drawing cards. Transforming Aang into Aang, Master of Elements unlocks a massive WUBRG cost reduction. When paired with Fist of Suns, Jodah, Archmage Eternal, or Leyline of Mutation, all spells in your hand become completely free to cast. The deck closes out the game by creating massive, hasty land creatures with Avatar Kyoshi, Earthbender and Toph, Greatest Earthbender, granting them double strike and vigilance while Avatar Aang dishes out direct damage and refills your hand on every upkeep. A premier defensive suite featuring free commander spells keeps your key permanents protected throughout the match.
