Deck overview

Edgar Markov is a classic Mardu vampire-tribal deck that leans on his Eminence ability to generate a 1/1 vampire token with every Vampire spell cast, whether Edgar is in the command zone or on the battlefield. The plan is a critical-mass go-wide strategy: flood the board with cheap vampires and tokens, back them with lords and counters, then close the game either through combat or through a drain subtheme powered by Bloodletter of Aclazotz, Sorin, Grim Nemesis, and Bishop of the Bloodstained. Blood-token synergies from Anje, Maid of Dishonor, Kamber, the Plunderer, and Strefan, Maurer Progenitor provide card filtering and free vampire deploy. A modest reanimation package (Bloodline Bidding, Victimize) gives the deck a grind path after wipes. The deck is a value-tribal midrange pile that wins through board inevitability rather than a fast combo line.
