my gold all mine alone by kitsunefox

Format: Commander

Commander: Smaug the Impenetrable

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This Rakdos deck leverages Smaug the Impenetrable as a high-powered threat and explosive Treasure engine. Because Smaug is indestructible and generates Treasure tokens whenever he suffers noncombat damage, you can target him with burn spells, fight triggers, and damage sweepers without losing him. The resulting mass of Treasure fuels artifact-drain win conditions like Mirkwood Bats, Marionette Master effects, and big mana burn finishers like Crackle with Power. Alternate paths to victory include alternate-win cards such as Hellkite Tyrant, Revel in Riches, and Knuckles the Echidna, or simply dealing lethal commander damage in the air.
