Deck overview

This mono-blue combo control deck uses Orvar, the All-Form to turn low-cost targeting instants and sorceries into rapid permanent duplication. The early game focuses on setting up mana velocity with rocks like Sol Ring and Mana Vault, or sculpting hand quality with tutors including Mystical Tutor, Merchant Scroll, and Spellseeker. Once Orvar enters the battlefield, the deck leverages buyback spells like Whim of Volrath and Mind Games to clone untapped lands or untap creatures like Peregrine Drake and Great Whale. This generates infinite mana and infinite tokens in a single turn. With infinite mana established, the deck repeatedly copies draw engines such as Mulldrifter or Coveted Jewel to draw the library and close the game immediately with Thassa's Oracle or Brain Freeze. A deep suite of free counterspells like Force of Will and Fierce Guardianship protects the combo at every stage.
