Deck overview

This deck is an Orzhov Aristocrats strategy led by Edgar, Ancient Bloodlord. It establishes early board presence with low-cost creatures and token generators, then converts them into life gain, menace counters, and card advantage through sacrifice outlets. The mid-game controls opposing creature strategies using attack taxes like Ghostly Prison, repeatable edicts, and one-sided sweeps like Massacre Wurm. By pairing drain engines such as Zulaport Cutthroat, Mirkwood Bats, and Massacre Girl, Most Wanted with resilient reanimation spells, the deck steadily exhausts opponent life totals while growing Edgar into an evasive combat threat. The list maintains high resilience through abundant graveyard recursion and backup sacrifice engines, closing the game around turn 8.
