Deck overview

This Golgari deck leverages Spider kindred synergies led by Shelob, Child of Ungoliant. The core game plan focuses on deploying high-toughness, reach-equipped Spiders during the early turns to construct a formidable defensive wall. Once Shelob enters on Turn 5 or 6, she transforms every Spider into a lethal threat by granting universal deathtouch and ward {2}. The deck utilizes cheap, one-sided bite spells such as Ram Through and Master's Rebuke to eliminate opposing threats while stealing them as Food artifact tokens. Winning is achieved through steady attrition, Assault Formation toughness combat, Rotwidow Pack life drain, or an incidental infinite combo between Exquisite Blood and Sanguine Bond. While formidable against creature-heavy boards, the deck's relatively high mana curve, modest land count, and lack of stack interaction leave it exposed to fast combo and non-damage sweepers.
