Deck overview

This deck is a Dimir Ninjas tempo and saboteur deck commanded by Taeko, the Patient Avalanche. The strategy deploys low-cost, evasive creatures on early turns to reliably activate ninjutsu abilities, returning attackers to hand to cheat powerful Ninjas onto the battlefield attacking. This creates an immediate card advantage engine through saboteur triggers like Ingenious Infiltrator, Ninja of the Deep Hours, and Moon-Circuit Hacker. Taeko synergizes with the ninjutsu mechanic by accumulating +1/+1 counters and scrying whenever creatures bounce back to hand, while also granting unblockability for a single hybrid mana. The deck converts card advantage into tempo through saboteur bounce and removal like Mistblade Shinobi, Dokuchi Silencer, and Throat Slitter. Without infinite combos or burst overruns, the deck closes games through sustained unblockable combat damage, Yuriko life drain, and overwhelming board presence over multiple combat rotations.
