Deck overview

Anti-Venom, Horrifying Healer is a resilient but expensive mono-white Voltron commander. Its cast trigger returns a creature, and its damage-prevention ability can accumulate +1/+1 counters when damage would be dealt to it. The practical plan is to deploy the commander, attach equipment and Auras, then use haste, trample, double strike, or protection to deal commander damage. Hero's Heirloom, With Great Power . . ., Duelist's Heritage, and Inquisitor's Flail form the strongest damage package. The deck also has useful defensive tools, including Clever Concealment, Mithril Coat, Mother of Runes, and Selfless Spirit. Its main limitations are the five-white-mana commander cost, modest acceleration, weak tutoring, and dependence on several specific permanents for a lethal attack. Sweepers and removal are broad, but the deck has no supported infinite combo or reliable all-table finish.
