Queen Marchesa by Shaned229

Format: Commander

Commander: Queen Marchesa

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Queen Marchesa leads a Mardu monarch and goad pillowfort that forces opponents to attack each other while you collect cards and life. You become the monarch early with Marchesa and eight other monarch cards, then protect yourself with Ghostly Prison, Windborn Muse, Norn's Annex and Archon of Coronation while goad effects like Karazikar, Kardur and Disrupt Decorum redirect combat. Card flow comes from monarch and attack-trigger draw engines such as Breena, Mangara and Nelly Borca. The deck wins slowly through incremental drain and combat, with two creature combos as closers: Gisela with Heartless Hidetsugu and Brash Taunter with Dawnsire. Marchesa provides early monarch and tokens but the deck functions without her.
