Deck overview

This Gruul Dragon deck pairs Ganax, Astral Hunter with the Background Acolyte of Bahamut to create a fast, resilient ramp engine. By discounting the first Dragon cast each turn by two mana and producing Treasure tokens whenever a Dragon enters the battlefield, the deck consistently accelerates into high-impact threats starting on Turn 4. The deck converts Dragon entries and combat steps into table-wide pressure through direct damage triggers such as Terror of the Peaks, Dragon Tempest, and Agate Instigator, as well as token multipliers like Lathliss, Dragon Queen and Utvara Hellkite. High-end Treasure producers such as Old Gnawbone and Ancient Copper Dragon provide explosive bursts of mana to sustain multi-spell turns. While vulnerable to mass exile wipes and lacking deep stack interaction, the deck maintains steady recovery through graveyard recursion, redundant tutors, and independent high-power threats.
