Deck overview

This deck is an Izzet spellslinger storm and combo deck commanded by Vivi Ornitier. The primary strategy focuses on deploying Vivi on Turn 3, followed by cost reducers and damage-trigger draw engines such as Curiosity or Archmage Emeritus on Turn 4. Because Vivi triggers on every noncreature spell to deal 1 damage to each opponent and gain a +1/+1 counter, each spell cast with Curiosity attached draws three fresh cards. Vivi’s activated ability converts that accumulated power into a burst of blue and red mana, creating a self-sustaining mana and card-velocity loop. The deck can close games on Turn 5 through lethal table-wide ping damage, a massive Crackle with Power, or compact two-card infinite combos including Dualcaster Mage paired with Twinflame or Heat Shimmer, and Niv-Mizzet, Parun with Curiosity. While vulnerable to well-timed spot removal on its commander, cheap interaction and flexible backup plans ensure high resilience and fast closing speed.
