Deck overview

This deck is a classic Golgari Elf tribal swarm strategy centered on Lathril, Blade of the Elves. The early game focuses on deploying efficient 1-mana and 2-mana mana dorks such as Llanowar Elves, Fyndhorn Elves, and Priest of Titania to accelerate mana and establish board presence. Lathril, Blade of the Elves comes down on Turn 3 and attacks on Turn 4, utilizing natural menace and equipment like Alpha Authority or Vorrac Battlehorns to connect for combat damage and generate 1/1 Elf Warrior tokens. As the board multiplies, the deck scales into enormous mana production with Elvish Archdruid and Wirewood Channeler. It converts this creature density into decisive win conditions through mass overrun effects like Overwhelming Stampede, Overrun, and End-Raze Forerunners, or through direct life-drain effects from Shaman of the Pack, Skemfar Shadowsage, and Lathril's activated tap ability. While fast and synergistic, the strategy relies heavily on creature permanents surviving on the battlefield.
