Deck overview

This Golgari deck pairs Shadowheart, Dark Justiciar with the Master Chef Background to build a potent +1/+1 counter aristocrats and stompy engine. Master Chef guarantees that Shadowheart and all entering creatures receive +1/+1 counters, immediately inflating their power. Shadowheart converts this extra power into massive card advantage, drawing four to seven cards per activation for just two mana. The deck uses this card velocity to deploy formidable board states featuring oversized threats like Gruff Triplets, Ancient Bronze Dragon, and Grave Titan. Trample enablers like Aggressive Mammoth and Duskshell Crawler ensure combat damage pushes through blockers, while reanimation spells offer resilience against removal. In the late game, the deck closes matches through wide combat steps, a high-X Finale of Devastation, or an infinite persist loop with Woodfall Primus and a sacrifice outlet.
