Deck overview

This deck is a 5-color Dragon tribal midrange strategy commanded by Scion of the Ur-Dragon. The primary game plan focuses on rapid mana acceleration and color fixing across all five colors, deploying Scion on Turn 4, and attacking on Turn 5 with open activation mana. Scion acts as a lethal Swiss-army knife in the command zone, tutoring high-impact Dragons directly into the graveyard while copying their stats and abilities. It pressures opponents with burst commander damage via Atarka, World Render or infect counters via Skithiryx, the Blight Dragon. In the mid-to-late game, the stocked graveyard transitions into a devastating mass reanimation win using Patriarch's Bidding and Bladewing the Risen, alongside haste enablers like Karrthus, Tyrant of Jund. While exceptionally proactive and explosive in combat, the list runs minimal reactive disruption and no stax, making it reliant on race tempo and focused pressure.
