Deck overview

This deck is a Sultai {X}-spells midrange engine commanded by Zaxara, the Exemplary. The primary game plan accelerates mana on Turn 2, casts Zaxara on Turn 3, and begins casting impactful {X} spells on Turn 4 to create an escalating army of Hydra tokens. On Turn 5, the deck deploys force multipliers such as Kalonian Hydra, Branching Evolution, or Unbound Flourishing to threaten lethal combat damage across two attack cycles, concluding on Turn 7. Alternatively, the deck can assemble an infinite mana loop using Zaxara and Freed from the Real, channeling infinite mana into a game-ending Exsanguinate or drawing the entire library with Pull from Tomorrow. Interaction is flexible with permanent destruction like Assassin's Trophy and Beast Within, though countermagic is thin. The deck is vulnerable to sweepers and heavy spot removal, but makes up for it with massive card burst spells and rapid creature scaling.
