Caretaker Gravemaker by Zebrecharged

Format: Commander

Commander: Shirei, Shizo's Caretaker

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Shirei, Shizo's Caretaker leads a mono-black aristocrats build that turns tiny 1-power creatures into a reusable engine. There is no hidden commander; Shirei is both the engine and the name. The primary plan is to cast Shirei on curve, sacrifice 1/1s to Viscera Seer and the Altars, and convert each death into life loss via Blood Artist, Zulaport Cutthroat, Bastion of Remembrance, and The Meathook Massacre. The faster secondary plan is an infinite loop with Phyrexian or Ashnod's Altar, Pitiless Plunderer or Pawn of Ulamog, Reassembling Skeleton, and a drain payoff. If Shirei is answered, the deck falls back on the artifact loops and attrition.
