Gwenom by XanderZone

Format: Commander

Commander: Gwenom, Remorseless

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a focused mono-black life-drain/drain-trigger value deck helmed by Gwenom, Remorseless. The commander supplies card advantage and a pseudo-cheat engine by allowing you to play cards from the top of your library during combat, paying life instead of mana. The primary win condition is the infinite life-loss loop of Exquisite Blood + Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose (or any other trigger that drains an opponent when you gain life). Secondary lines include Bloodletter of Aclazotz doubling all life loss during your turn, a high-devotion Gray Merchant of Asphodel for a massive swing, and Bolas's Citadel to chain through your library. The deck packs a respectable tutor suite, moderate recursion, and a handful of removal spells, aiming to out-grind opponents with incremental life swings and explosively close the game via combo.
