Deck overview

This deck is a classic Grixis Group Slug and Wheels strategy commanded by Nekusar, the Mindrazer. The game plan focuses on setting up damage-multiplying permanents that punish opponents whenever they draw cards, such as Nekusar, Sheoldred, the Apocalypse, Underworld Dreams, and Fate Unraveler. Once a damage engine is established on Turn 4 or 5, the deck unleashes symmetric wheel effects like Wheel of Fortune, Windfall, and Dark Deal to deal massive bursts of damage across the table while stripping opposing hands. Secondary value engines like Waste Not and Underworld Breach generate the surplus mana and recursion needed to chain multiple wheels in a single turn. The deck also features a compact two-card infinite combo in Bloodchief Ascension and Mindcrank. While the deck boasts immense explosive damage and high card velocity, it relies heavily on natural draws and runs very little spot removal or defensive interaction.
