Deck overview

This deck is a mono-black spellslinger control and attrition strategy led by Fandaniel, Telophoroi Ascian. The core plan fills the graveyard with instant and sorcery cards through cheap removal, cantrips, and self-mill. Once Fandaniel enters the battlefield, it converts graveyard size into inevitable life loss. At each end step, opponents must sacrifice a nontoken creature or lose two life for each instant and sorcery in your graveyard. By pairing Fandaniel with sweepers like Toxic Deluge and edicts like Accursed Marauder, the deck denies opponents disposable nontoken creatures, turning the end step trigger into massive burn. A dense suite of one-mana protection spells like Feign Death and Not Dead After All protects the commander while continuously feeding the graveyard. Late-game haymakers like Morality Shift and Rise of the Dark Realms provide decisive burst finishes to close out the table.
