Deck overview

Queen Marchesa is a monarch-aggro/control shell in Mardu. The primary plan is to become the monarch early, defend the crown with cheap removal, pillow-fort creatures, and goad politics while Courts and Skyline Despot convert the crown into damage and tokens. Secondary paths are Gisela doubling Court triggers and Commander damage, plus one-sided Ruinous Ultimatum and theft effects (Insurrection, Mob Rule) on a developed board. The commander's main role is an early hasty monarch source and a backup Assassin generator; the deck has no hidden commander and remains functional without her because most Monarch payoffs are separate permanents. The main win is a combined damage/combat kill, not a combo.
