Deck overview

This deck is a Dimir Ninjutsu and bounce tempo strategy commanded by Taeko, the Patient Avalanche. The game plan opens by establishing cheap, evasive creatures such as Ornithopter, Changeling Outcast, and Spectral Sailor. Once Taeko, the Patient Avalanche enters the battlefield, returning unblocked attackers to hand through ninjutsu or self-bounce spells grows Taeko with +1/+1 counters and provides constant scry selection. Supporting engines like Satoru, the Infiltrator and Dour Port-Mage convert these bounce actions into steady card advantage, while Ninja Teen and Yuriko, the Tiger's Shadow drain opposing life totals. Taeko uses its attack trigger to make key attackers unblockable, steadily applying lethal commander damage. Disruptive tools such as Blood Clock, Evacuation, and synergistic counterspells slow opposing game plans. While the deck possesses resilient card flow and strong individual threat scaling, its reliance on incremental combat damage gives opponents multiple turn cycles to respond.
