Deck overview

This deck is a Dimir control and Voltron midrange list commanded by Sephiroth, Planet's Heir. The deck's primary game plan revolves around controlling the board through an abundance of creature removal, -1/-1 counters, and board shrink effects like Mutilate and Extinguish All Hope. When opposing creatures die, Sephiroth grows rapidly via +1/+1 counters, transforming into a massive vigilance threat. Equipment like The Masamune accelerates this growth while Great Ugly-Looking Goblin grants evasion. The deck also features aristocrat life-drain subthemes through Bastion of Remembrance, Falkenrath Noble, and Massacre Wurm to punish opponents for losing creatures. While the deck dominates creature-heavy metas with superior attrition, it is vulnerable to fast combo strategies and noncreature permanents due to limited stack interaction and minimal enchantment removal.
