Deck overview

This deck is a Grixis Midrange and Reanimator strategy centered on Sauron, Lord of the Rings. It combines mana acceleration and looting effects to fill the graveyard with devastating creatures like The Balrog of Moria, Cavern-Hoard Dragon, and Scourge of the Throne. The deck stabilizes the early game with efficient interaction and token generation from Amass cards before casting its commander on Turn 6. Sauron provides immediate board presence through a cast trigger that creates a 5/5 Orc Army, mills five cards, and reanimates a creature even if countered. Mid-game card advantage is fueled by The One Ring, Palantír of Orthanc, and Sauron, the Dark Lord. While the deck excels at building towering board states and grinding out card advantage, its reliance on multi-turn combat damage makes it vulnerable to board wipes and graveyard hate.
