Deck overview

This deck is a five-color polymorph control deck commanded by Jace, Multiverse Architect. The main game plan uses noncreature token generators such as Dreadhorde Invasion, Skrelv's Hive, and Staff of the Storyteller to provide cheap fodder. On Turn 4, Jace enters the battlefield and uses his −3 loyalty ability to exile a token and cheat a massive threat from the library into play. The creature lineup consists of game-ending bombs including Archon of Cruelty, Hullbreaker Horror, Serra's Emissary, and Archfiend of Despair. A solid suite of two-mana mana rocks ensures smooth five-color mana fixing and early commander deployment. Robust removal spells and board wipes keep opposing boards in check while taxes from Ghostly Prison and Jace's passive ability protect planeswalker loyalty. Once established, repeated polymorph triggers and evasive attackers quickly close out the game through combat damage and life-drain attrition.
