Deck overview

Betor, Ancestor's Voice leads an Abzan midrange reanimator deck that weaponizes life totals in both directions. The deck converts life loss from pain lands, shock lands, and high-impact spells into free end-step reanimation, while translating life gain into massive +1/+1 counters across its board. A dense suite of early ramp and graveyard enablers like Entomb, Buried Alive, and Hermit Druid sets up game-warping threats such as Archon of Cruelty and Vilis, Broker of Blood ahead of curve. The primary win condition is a compact two-card infinite combo between Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose and Bloodthirsty Conqueror, which drains the entire table in a single turn once initiated by any life change. Supported by resilient draw engines like The One Ring and Necropotence, the deck recovers rapidly from board wipes through redundant recursion. While vulnerable to graveyard hate and lacking stack countermagic, its explosive life swings and redundant engines make it a formidable force.
