Blackrock Accounting by BudLightGawd

Format: Commander

Commander: Witherbloom, the Balancer

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

This is a Golgari spells-and-tokens combo deck. Witherbloom, the Balancer is less a required engine than a powerful discount: its affinity makes the commander cheap once the board is wide, then every instant and sorcery costs one less per creature. The main kill is the Chain of Smog + Witherbloom Apprentice loop, which infinitely drains the table, with Sedgemoor Witch and Chatterfang, Squirrel General as parallel token-loop outlets. Finale of Devastation and Craterhoof Behemoth turn a developed creature count into a one-shot combat kill, while Torment of Hailfire and Exsanguinate are X-spell finishers the commander's affinity makes nearly free. The deck plays like a fast combo/value hybrid: dorks and token producers early, a tutor or two to close, and enough draw from The One Ring, Skullclamp, and Doctor Doom, Unrivaled to keep the combo assembling.
